^Lot 804a Pre-Columbian Offering Vessel.

Footed bowl from Chupicuaro culture of Mexico. Near fine condition with most original paint and beautiful reddish patina. 500 B.C. - 100 B.C. Over 2000 year old. pottery simply is not found any better. The site is now currently under water and unlikely anymore to be discovered. Approximately 6" across center and 3 1/4" height. Note: Our expert rates this bowl on a scale of 1-10 as a 9.8 for condition and states "best of this type bowl from this culture I have seen even in museums."
